Emergency dialer

I don't like how the emergency dialer has 911 pre-entered. I think it's too easy to accidentally dial 911. Is there any way to change this?

What phone do you have?

As of Android 2.2, the vanilla Android OS has fixed the emergency dialer where you have to manually enter 911 to make a call. If you have an older phone you can try some 3rd party lock screen apps to see if that can fix it.

I have the Lg optimus T from T-mobile. Android is version 2.2.2.
I already used the Lg update tool on my PC but it said my phone was up to date.
