When rebooting my phone it gets to the motorola logo and does nothing. I've tried to wipe data/factory reset, but no success. I don't know what else to do. Is my phone dead? PLEASE, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If I understand you then you can get into clockwork mod recovery? If so then flash a backup rom. You do have a backup don't you?

I can't get into clockwork mod recovery. I think this started with me trying to install a theme from rom manager by using bootstrap.

Oh S***!
My phone can't do anything now. When I connect it to my laptop a green led light shows and a blank screen, but none of the buttons work. When I connect it through the ac adapter no green led light, but the motorola logo shows on the screen and again none of the buttons work. I can now definitely say my phone is DEAD!

Need to SBF. Can you get into the bootloader? You hold down the power button, Home button, and the down volume on the side button. This should get you to the bootloader and allow you to SBF

Your phone can be brought back you will just need to do a little work

Hey, Bankswood

Thanks for all the replies, but I saved myself some grief and time by sending my phone to motorola and getting a new one (my phone is still under warranty). The main reason I did that cuz whenever I went into bootloader I kept getting the "battery is low / cannot program" message even though I charged the phone for hours and hours and so, doing a SBF was not gonna work, but again thanks for your help.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooh boy... Good luck and I hope they find out you were rooted! :D

I'm going to move this to the root section for:

1) obvious reason -and-
2) because I can :p

Donb what Steven said ^^^^^. I hope Verizon can't tell you rooted. If they do notice it's rooted you can plan on getting it back with no help. If you get a fresh phone great. If not come on back and we will fix that phone.

PS Your phone will not charge when it is bricked. No matter how long you leave it plugged in. That's why you were getting that warning.

next time dont panic; come back and ask steven, banks, and these guys what steps to take next.
(could have borrowed a battery or done other methods to get you back up and running).

Time to re-visit the basics of "don't attempt any mods unless your battery is fully charged first"

Update!

I sent my phone straight to Motorola, didn't bother dealing with Verizon. Motorola couldn't repair my phone, so they sent me a brand new one no questions ask and I received it today. Got it activated and ready to "F" it up like the previous one, just kidding.:D

BTW, I noticed that within a minute of "non-heavy" use the lower back of my phone gets really warm. Is this normal? need new battery?

Glad you got a new one. Did you keep your original battery and SD Card. I would just keep an eye on the battery fro a while before replacing the battery.

Get started on rooting again.

Yep, kept my sd card and battery. In fact Motorola said not to send the battery and cover or any accessories just the phone itself.
