Supposedly this Moto 5 G is going to update automatically in the early morning. I've already shut off automatic in dev ops, switched to cellular (none) before wifi, and am looking for other ways. When I looked at software update under settings I saw no options that it's supposed to have other than the abovementioned cellular first. Aren't there apps which can prevent this sort of thing? I have also disabled the sim.

How do you know it's going to auto update?
I plugged it into the crimebook but it didn't register. It still says list of devices attached. WHY is it not showing the Moto G 5 g? It hasn't recognized any phone and there have been 3. I found something about pairing with code and using cli for that, but of course it didn't work either. The "computer" seems really old in comparison to the phones, almost from 100 years ago. I guess if I could get the phone rooted I wouldn't have (at least some of) these problems. Are there people who can be hired to do this kind of labor?
