i tried to root so i had to put CWM in first i used one that said i wouldnt get the emmc lock issue, so i flashed it and now i cant flash roms cwm or odin becasue it cant access the emmc, so how do i fix this brick, anything will work as long i can get a working phone. i just need a working phone. i also heard that the only way to fix it was to wait for an update from samsung when they release an OFFICIAL ICS ROM which will be in the form of a firmware update, but i never read anything with a straight answer.

ok well thank you for the straight answer. now i have another problem the phone doesnt seem to charge in any available mode now because the battery is dead but download mode says it wont work because battery is too low. so would i just need a charged battery to "jumpstart" the recovery process.

I would leave the phone off and try to charge it for a while, unless you have another battery available.

My phone is similar, it wont boot up or show the battery indicator. If i press the power button, the blue light will go on and stay on. If i press and hold the power button again for 5 seconds the blue light will flash off and the go solid again. I tried using a JIG and was not able to get it to download or recovery mode. I sent it in to mobiletechvideos.com and they were not able to start it up either...they said it was suffering from a physical EMMC chip failure and need to replace the motherboard. I never dropped the phone, bumped it or spilled anything on it. But it did brick when i was flashing an ics rom and it stalled for a while and i foolishly i pulled the battery out:(
Question is...is there anything i can do or basically i need a new motherboard? and does anyone know where i can get one?

That is the BLOD (Blue Light of Death). Your phone IS bricked. Nothing can be done, time for a new phone.

There have been several reports of bricking when installing ICS ROMs. If you make the wrong mistake when flashing an ICS ROM or flashing anything with an ICS recovery a brick can occur.

Dang it! Thats what I thought. Thanks.
By any chance, anyone know where I can get a oem motherboard?

Try to file a warranty claim with samsung, they are aware of this issue.

I called Samsung and because I rooted my phone they said they could not do anything but just have their advanced tech department call me to give me some suggestions on what I can do.
Should I just call and tell them the phone stopped working? I have no receipt or anything, I bought the phone from a sprint employee who "won" it.
