Help emoticons?

unfortunately I do not believe so....i have searched to no avail...me coming from bb this is prob the only thing I miss having...I'm sure there will be an app soon though
 
There are on other Android devices....you get the droid smileys....they're kinda cool. But with the X, they don't have them. With 2.2, I have them in Google Talk but not in the text message app. It's kind of a bummer and I have yet to see an app that makes them show up on the stock sms program :(
