Enable only email notification

I want to keep email ringtone ON and turn off all other ringtone in night or while i am in meeting, is it possible in android?.

I am system administrator and I receive emergency alerts on special email address which I have to attend even while I am sleeping. Is it possible in android.

At present, I am using nokia where i have nokia profiles where I can define separate ringtones for calls, text messages and emails so I have created an profile with calls and text ringtone off and have kept email ringtone on but i am not sure how to do this in android phone.

Also, in this profile i have kept some VIP people in list who's ringtone will always ring even while I am sleeping.

I searched allot for this in android forums and google in last few days but couldn't find any such solution for it.

Can anyone please tell me, if this is possible in android and how it can be done.

I would think Tasker would be your best bet. I haven't used it much, but it's a very powerful app. You can download and sideload a 7 day trial from the developer's website if you don't want to pay the $6.50 before testing it out.

I use a free app called Quick Profiles. Its low profile, easy to set up and you can set up numerous situation based profiles. It works great for me.

I use Sound Manager for similar reasons. It works great for a specific overnight profile in particular. You could also make a profile to encompass all hours and then toggle it on for meetings and back off afterward. Its a good, free app which has been around since the early days.

Thank you for your replies. I checked all these apps but no application has way to turn ON ONLY email notification and turn off all other notifications and sounds.

Can this be achieved in tasker?
