How can I enable ad hoc wifi for the motion?...i did it before on my lg optimus m+...but i forgot...it had something to do with editing the wpa_supplication or something...help plss

How can I enable ad hoc wifi for the motion?...i did it before on my lg optimus m+...but i forgot...it had something to do with editing the wpa_supplication or something...help plss
how far does the signal travel with hoc it sounds cool but is it practical.sorry for asking a ? and not answering yours.

Adhoc is like a personal, kind of virtual network. Win 7 computers can make them, and I'm assuming when you use the hot spot app, your phone creates one. The signal strength is determined by your wifi. But in most case I doubt the user would be too far. I used it for controlling software on my PC, from the phone (back when I used the OM). Such as ableton. Or file transfers. It helped a lot. Its practical if you dont have a home wifi network. Or if you need a quick one.
The way I got it to work was by flashing an edit found on xda. That was for Optimus phone. And since we dont have a custom rectory yet, we can't flash it. You could look into the edit to see if you could possibly work around flashing. I may do that soon. If I find anything ill post it. Anyways, good luck.
