Help Ended process for android market, now market is different! Help please!

I ended the process of my android market via my app manager and the entire market changed....i did not expect this and have tried powering off and also even pulled the battery...i have gathered that i must have lost access to the mew android market and am now operating under the old market. Any suggestions?

A. Google and download one of the new market .apk's floating around(try Droid-Life)

B. Wait until it automagically changes back in the next few days(I'm assuming it will eventually change back)

There is a new market out so when you ended the old one it probably installed the new one.
I assumed he was reverted to the old one. But I could be wrong.

Does the market have...?
1. a green bar across the top
2. a large curved green top half
3. a bunch of gray tiles with pictures and a movies section

IIRC, the D3 didn't come with the new market, did it?

I'm going to assume the OP has been updated, not lost his update.
Ending the market task is what most users of most phones have found is the way to allow it to automatically update.
You're pretty much stuck with it now. Unless you can find an older .apk and install that. But since you already have the updated version, an older .apk may not install correctly.

It has all the tiles with movie rentals etc etc my buddy informed me that this is the new one lol...sorry for the freak out! This also triggered the memory of me turning on auto updates earlier when a update became available. So thank all you guys for the help, its nice to know people will help witb problems. Im a bit out of my element im usually very tech savvy but this thing has been throwing me for a loop for the past week. Seems to be very finicky!

The new Market app (with Movies & Books) has been pushed out over the past couple of weeks, at least in our part of the woods. Got mine yesterday.

So far, it's a bit quirky. It lists My Apps alphabetically, instead of chronologically (by most recent update). I do like the app count # at the top.

This morning, it announced that Astrid had an update, but when I selected it, the buttons only showed, "Open" & "Uninstall." There was no way to start the update & no 'Update All' button. Maybe it meant that Astrid had been updateD, because opening the app displayed a recent changes pop-up.

Chalk this one up to the learning curve, I guess.

This is a known bug. It seems to always work if you have more than 1 update available.

So since we're talking about the new market that was released, mine was just updated as of last night. My wife had told me that her's was update for about a week now, but her market would only show a few apps to download and not have the extended list that I have. Is there a way to update the market manually or does it automatically sync and progress?
