Help Entire Homescreen Widget as Direct Dial

dabear55

Lurker
Hello everyone. I am looking for a widget that will take up the entire homescreen of my Galaxy Note with a picture of a contact that when touched will direct dial that contact.
Does such a widget exist?
Thanks for the help!

In your phone, you could actually press Menu> Add > Shortcut> Direct dial. This would let you add each contact to the screen.
If you would like to try out some App, you could look into these:
(1) Any cut

(2) APW Pro Widgets - create bookmark, calendar, facebook, messaging, contact, saywhat, timeline, twitter.

(3) Launch X Pro - create App, contacts, shortcuts

For no. 2 & 3 they provide more customization feature & very functional in my opinion. Hope this help!

You should try dialer widget

Hello to all and thanks for the help. Well I tried desktop visualizer. It works as advertised but I cannot make the resulting icon larger so that it tales up the whole screen which was my desired goal. Am i missing something here?

Oh I know what's happened.

All phones apart from the note are 4x4 grid pattern. On desktop visualizer, a 4x4 icon would take up the whole screen, but unfortunately, and I've just realised this, the note has a 5x5 grid pattern and so a 4x4 won't take up the whole screen.

Even if you use an alternate home launcher and change the homescreen dimensions?

Just tried it with ADW Launcher, desktop set to 4x4. The widget does use the 'full screen,' but automatically imposes a border along the top and another along the bottom for a caption/label, even if you choose not to enter any label text. The actual image will not fill the whole screen, even though the widget does fill the whole screen. It will always leave the top part clear for, well, I don't know what, and the bottom clear for a label.

Dial widget looks ok, but is there one which allows you to choose from faces of your contacts, rather than have to manually type in the numbers or search slowly through your A-Z address book?
