Root epic 4g gingerbread update low internal memory problem...

Newbie
I installed gingerbread with nubernel kernel on my phone. After it booted, the phone continued to report low internal memory. I did not install any additional apps. Anyone know what was causing the low memory warning? I finally removed some of my favorite programs like dolphin browser and tango to free up internal memory. How would I find and delete orphan files in internal memory? What do you suggest? Thank you.

Gingerbread is a larger ROM file than Froyo, so it easily could just be that.

Here's a trick that has helped me on my Nexus one (should work for any phone though)

Moving apps to SD via ADB or Shell (requires SDK install or root)
How to move apps to SD card without root

This will help you move any app to the SD (even ones that you normally could not) Just be careful not to move widgets or apps when you use a widget from the app. Those dont work well from the SD.

So i had to flash my phone in order to update to the 2.3 update that sprint released today... where are all my apps that were saved to sd card with this app once i re installed?
