Hi very new to the epic coming from blackberry...still a lot to get use to but liking it for the most part. My question is my blackberry came with a disc that I could use with puter to backup everything and sync and what not...my epic didn't come with a disc and was wondering how do I go about backing up everything...also they told me they would be able to transfer everything from blackberry to epic well only transferred my contacts was a little upset found out how to get my pics, music and videos onto epic but had a memo pad that I had been using every day for well over a year with a lot of info that I need can't figure out how to transfer that, when I open up the file on puter it wont let me open it because it is in blackberry words lets say...any help to this newbie would be great! And love the forum! Thanks!:D

Welcome to the epic! I used to be a former crackberry myself, curve 8330 and the tour and i know your pain. I am not sure what you had and the os and i do know alot has changed since i left so need a little info about the memo files to try to help ya. What format are the files in? Glad to hear you figured out your pics and music.

Hi thanks for reading and replying...I had the 8330 os 5. As far as what format the files are in I am not sure...sorry...maybe this would help it is however they would be when you would back up your phone to the blackberry desktop. Saved as documents/blackberry/backup...hope that gives you something to work with lol or if you could tell me how to see what format it's in thanks again!

Ah yes, the dreaded trackball. The bane of my very existence! Lol I will take a peek online to see, not promising anything.

The most common but tidious suggestion is to email your notes to your gmail. Plus i have seen it suggested to try evernote from the market. Well whatever route you go im sure it will be better then mine, manually recreating each one:-( i was pretty green when i switched. Lol. Let me know how this goes and what route you did or didnt do.
