Epic Camera Sample Pictures

those are great pics. Something has me worried though about the epic 4g video compression. Epic looks really washed out compared to vibrant. Sound seems lower quality too. Now its pretty great if you dont compare them side by side but I dont get it. I thought they had the same internals :(. Check it out:

I think what you're seeing is just a difference in lighting conditions.

there not at the same distance thats probably why you cant see as much detail.

people need to remember these are PHONES not a dslr dont expect pictures/video to be amazing quality the epic camera will be miles better than my hero so i will be happy with it.
 
Looks to be different lighting conditions, you have direct sunlight in the Epic video and overhead in the Vibrant video. I would have to see some more Vibrant/Epic videos where they are done in a similar area to make a better comparison.
 
If you pause the Epic video at 27s and the Vibrant video at 28s you can see that they are actually about even, at this angle in the videos the Epic has better lighting and looks better.

I do think the sound is better on the Vibrant though... wonder why that is.

*edit* I looked at some other Epic videos and the sound isn't muffled in them... is it possible she had her finger over the mic on accident?

That's what I thought at first but then I looked at her profile.
