I have had many calls regarding problems with using the Hotspot on the Epic. Users can connect their PCs to the Epic but still cannot access websites.
For those who have an Epic and the Sprint Mobile Hotspot plan (please no PDAnet or other users who are not using the Sprint Hotspot feature), help me check out this issue.
Connect to the hotspot with your PC. Try 74.125.227.51 instead of google.com in the browser address bar. Does Google's website come up?
If it does,
1) open a command prompt (XP: Start, Run, type CMD. Vista/7: Start, Search, CMD)
2) type: ipconfig /all
3) Look to where you see the DNS servers for your connection. There should be two sets of IP addresses. They like four numbers separated by periods.
4) Post your results here.
