Went to sleep last night with the Epic in the night stand (battery was charged so it was not on the charger). Woke up early this morning, noticed the capacitive buttons were on, but screen was off.
I tried to wake up the Epic to see why the buttons were on, Epic felt warm to the touch, and screen would not turn on.
Finally had to pop out the battery and then turn back on and it started normally. The battery felt slightly warm (OEM Samsung battery), and the phone felt slightly warm as well.
Not sure what the heck happened...
Running stock DI18 ROM, with root.
