Epic vs Evo

I'm going to get an EVO in the next couple of days and give it a try. I love my Epic, but I have the opportunity to try it out so why not. Actually I will own both, so whichever wins the "Pepsi Challenge" will be the one I sport until I break it, and I'm forced to go back to the other. My plan is to use the Evo until 2.2 is released, and working well on the Epic. I'm hoping I can take advantage of the supposedly better bluetooth voice dialing with 2.2. I will then switch back to the Epic and give it another try. Of course, if I hate the Evo right off the bat, I will jettison than plan after the first week.

Be sure to let us know how it goes. I'm still debating, but as of now I think I'll hold off on buying either until 2.2 is out for the Epic, and then I'll probably get that. But I could still change my mind.

Had the evo and within the first thirty days i took it back for the epic. While i owned the evo it just felt as though something was missing, and you know what it was? it was the super amoled screen. Ya the screen size of the evo was great but the epic screen clarity is amazing... i love my epic and have no regrets going to it from the evo.... however i do miss 2.2 on the evo i cant wait to see what its like on the epic!!!!

I read back a few posts regarding a $10.00 upgrade in internet when purchasing an EPIC or EVO. Is this a must?

I have the TP2 (Sprint) and contemplating on purchasing an EPIC or EVO. So I gave sprint a call and was told that the $10.00 upgrade for internet is unnecessary. It's merely an upgrade to fully use the full internet capacity speeds on the phones (if you need it). Having EVDO is still usable on both phones (which is good enough for my usage). Unless there are specific features and/or applications on the phones that require 3G to 4G speeds, is there?

Evo or Epic? Which way to go? hmmmmmmmmmm.

Im am pretty sure like 99% sure that you have to pay the 10 dollar premium fee for the epic and evo. This is no matter whether your town has 4g yet or not...

Not that it matters in the discussion of the (mandatory) $10 fee, but for reference, evdo is 3g.

Did anyone else notice that in the video Thai posted on 10/27 the Epic was on WiFi and that the Evo was on 3G? Some might think that would fudge the results of such a test. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Interesting!

I looked at my bill a couple of days ago and didn't see the $10 fee. I will wait and see if it is assessed over the next month or two.
