Help Epic won't mount to PC

My Epic is suddenly (and for no apparent reason) reading my PC as any other charger when I plug it in. I get an error that says "Device not recognized" when I plug it in, and this has happened on multiple computers with multiple USB cables. I've re-installed drivers not only from Samsung but for my USB ports themselves and the problem still persists. USB debugging hasn't made a difference. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or (at the very least) what causes it?

Have you tried plugging it into different USB ports on your computer(s)?

I've had problems with the phone not working when I use front USB ports, which are ports that aren't directly connected to the motherboard (usually a cable has to run from the mother board to the front port). Try one of the back ports on your PC for best results (since that plugs directly into the motherboard).

Not sure if this is your problem but worth a shot (if you haven't already tried).
