erase and replace OS?

I have an old Samsung SCH-S738C running Android 4.0.4. I want it to NOT run android 4.0.4, and instead run Kali Linux. I do not want to install Kali alongside android, I want to REPLACE android with kali. It seems very difficult to find people who have any insight on this. If you could please assist me with this, I would be most grateful.

One reason may be that Kali appears to be very user-specific, intended mainly for digital forensics and penetration testing.

A brief search found Kali Linux NetHunter, images of which are available for various Nexus devices. To install on your own handset I suspect you'll have to build your own image from source.
