i was wondering how to just erase everything back to original like they just handed it to me? even the sd card

To erase your sd card just format it from the settings menu. To virginize your phone you need to SBF it Google "Droid X SBF" Or look here.

If you are rooted and have Clockwork Mod Recovery installed, using the maderstock.zip file is a bit easier than using RSD Lite and an sbf file.
FYI, there is no complete 2.3.340 sbf file in existence. There is an 2.3.340 System only sbf, or a complete 2.3.320 sbf. So either way, you would need to do an additional step or two to get to completely virgin 2.3.340 like the maderstock.zip gets you to in one step.
