Help Eris battery not charging

Hello People,
Weird thing happening with my Eris. I use it as a alarm on my nightstand and charge it overnight. A few mornings the alarm hasn't gone off because it shut down with a dead battery. This happened with my new and old battery. This morning the alarm worked but when I unplugged it the battery indicator showed half full. I read a couple of emails and the phone died without warning. Has anyone else had these issues? I have a rooted Eris running Condemned CM7 V16 Vanilla.

I noticed that my battery was giving me about 2/3 of the life that it once had about three months ago. I bought a new battery and it's working just fine. I'd say that about 18 months of nearly every day, nearly full charge cycles is about all modern lithium-based battery packs can take.

It may be time for a new one.

Of course, you can charge fully - wait until it's green, unplug, plug back in and wait until it's green again. Then, while still plugged in, restart in Amon_RA recovery, go into the wipe menu, wipe battery stats, and see if it gives any better life.
 
Mine does the same thing but it charges just fine on the car charger (most of the time). if i wiggle the connector around sometimes it will actually charge on the house charger. definitely wipe the battery stats and try charging on a car charger for a while see if it behaves better.
 
louzilla, do you use gentle alarm by any chance? I've been having trouble with mine, seems like since the last update. I stopped putting it in night mode and put the phone to sleep instead. Since doing that, it seems to be charging just fine.


I saw on gentle alarm's website someone else is having trouble too. Maybe a start.
