Root eris, busybox quesion

I have been reading around this forum for awhile now and i would like to say thanks for all the information i personally have gained just by reading.

Now to my question: i am about to root my wifes eris (she agreed b/c she cant take the lag on angry birds, not b/c of all the cool functional reasons) and i would really like to backup her apps with titanium once i have stock root. I will need busybox for this task, but im reading that the newer versions dont work on the eris. So im looking for conformation of this and possiably a link to a version that will work (hopefully in apk form).

I have a droid1 that i rooted long ago but im finding the eris is a totally different animal!

I do plan on putting xtrROM on it eventually but want to backup apps first.
Any help/info is greatly apreciated, and thanks agian for such a great forum!

It says it will install the most recent version, and im worried it wont work with, or might even be harmful to, the eris?

I always let Titanium install whatever version of Busybox it wants to, to date there has been no problem.

I'm am much in favor of rooting the phone, but don't expect that to do wonders with Angry Birds, it's still going to be very slow. I've read where some ROMs are better than others, but I haven't read of one that was GOOD with Angry Birds.

Bah, I'm going to play dumb. Honestly while picking around it today I was amazed at how laggy it was, I think she will appreciate a quicker phone even if angry birds is still laggy.
