Eris deletes e-mail from the server.

My Eris has been deleting e-mail from my server on occasion. It doesn't happen always, but it got me today. Nothing too important, thank God!

Anyone else experience this? Verizon tech was no help.

P.S. the "delete mail from server" option is set to off.

My verizon wireless tech didn't say anything about it being a known issue. I do hope that a fix is on the way.

Has anybody with this problem tried the mail application K-9 from the market, to see if that would work instead?

There is an option for that. Go to your mail application, then menu>settings>send & receive and ake sure "delete mail on server" is not selected. Thats it. I have 2 bellsouth accounts and it has never deleted anything from the server. Hope that helps!

Edit: Nevermind. I just realized you have that option turned off.

That's good to know...I've had a few e-mails totally disappear recently. It's good to know I'm not crazy.
