Help Eris Force Close

Just about everytime I turn my eris in a horizontal position to enter text it will freez up and give me a "force close" message. Anyone know how to fix this problem? I have already tried removing the battery and a factory reset.

Thanks. Downloaded handcent, hope I like it.

I was watching some videos on Youtube last night when I got a "force close, cannot connect to android.browser" message.

I closed it out, tried going back into the browser and getting same message. Took battery out, turned off, back on, etc., no luck.

Any suggestions?

Do you have an alternate keyboard installed?

Have you tried using a different messaging app? If you are using the stock messaging app, try Handcent or Chomp from the market.

No problem. If the force closes keep happening with a new app, then we'll know something else is causing the problem. I'd also suggest using an app to backup your texts called SMS Backup and an app called Delete Old Messages to clean out your inbox. Having too many texts can cause problems.
