Eris is falling apart

My headphone/aux jack is not working, neither is the trackball in recovery mode, and now my computer does not recognize the device. My upgrade date is Sept 6th, only 2 wks away. I'd really like to hold on until Sept 8th, which is the rumored release date of the Bionic. Is it even worth it to call Verizon and get a replacement for the Eris? I don't want them to give me an early upgrade to a DINC2. I wanna hang on for the Bionic. What's your advice, wise Eris community?

Two weeks? Wait.

Don't use the Eris for music for two weeks? I'm sure that you can get by. If you need to copy files over, you can email them to yourself and download them over the internet. I've been running GSB for over two weeks without updating the ROM.

Seriously, now that they have a 15 day return policy, plus a restocking fee, I'd wait for the phone that you want.

I was gonna flash a ROM, but I think I'll be okay without trying a different ROM. I'm gonna wait. Now that Google has acquired Motorola Mobile, I wouldn't mind getting my paws on the Bionic when it comes out.
