Eris now 79.99?

I was browsing through the verizon wireless webpage and noticed that the droid eris is now 79.99 (after a 100 mail in/online rebate). While I already picked mine up at the 99.99 price (which i still think they should rebate since I'm still within the 30 days of purchase) I figured I'd pass the info along to those that are still tryin to chose between the droid and/or eris and/or any other smart phone.

I saw that too but I'm really not going to complain since I got mine for $50 after rebate and the renewal credit.

I don't know for how long this has been going, but I got mine from Amazon. $9.99 for the phone.

I have only seen a few other offers beat that (which have been free offers), but those offers have only been available for a very limited time. On the other hand, the Amazon deal has been going for a month or more.

So, they dropped the price of the phone by $20. That's business.

Look at it this way: At least they didn't drop the price by $50.

I printed this and took it to Best Buy and they price matched. So I got my ERIS for free.
