Eris OTA Update

i heard that we aren't getting the update OTA anymore
Instead we're getting it IAS

The only way to get the update will be by standing in "The Apple Store" when the rollout begins. This way we can laugh at all the apple boys/girls that are still w/o multi task
 
No way is this the final version. I'm sure many of you have done beta's such as the Microsoft ones and you know that this is definitely a release candidate software but too many showstoppers to be final.

I do hear you on the bugs thing though. We complained because we wanted a character count in our texts. So they delivered but they put it right in the middle of the freaking text input box! :D Signing in to gmail every reboot, links not working in apps, etc...too much for a final. There have probably been 20 or more internal builds since the build we are using was released to testers.

I've been involved in too many releases that had last minute changes to jump on the leaked ROM bandwagon.
 
It amazes me to see all the folks using restraint and caution about flashing, not a bad thing whatsoever in any way but I'm used to watching folks flash any and everything possible on XDA myself included, in fact I flashed a ported version of this 2.1 leak on my old G1 earlier and I'm going to take the plunge with my Eris at some point tonight.
