eris update problems

my droid eris update started with a loss of my contacts. after a
restart several hours later my contacts reappeared. the htc weather app no longer works. it goes to the weather window, but only flashes a force close error for a split second, so i can't read the message. the home button will take me out of the blank black window. if i press the back button to get out of the same window, it has no effect. pressing the home button after this gives me an htc logo and a reload of my homescreen, which takes a couple seconds.
second problem is the internet app sometimes closes before a page loads on the first attempt. second try always works.
just wondering if these are common issues with this update.

I am having similar problems with my Eris. I was getting the "force close" flashed for a second randomly when making phone calls, text messaging (with the text message app that came with the phone), and when using the market.

I tried the factory data reset last week. This helped with the phone call problems, but I am still having the problems with text messaging and the market.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
