Eris's in the wild.

I have had 2 droids. Both of them hated me. I have now ordered an Eris and I love what all it has on it to offer. I sold my droid to my son and he is madly in love with that phone.

I have seen a total of 4 droids besides mine. I know 3 people that own Eris's.

I know no one else with Eris sadly..... I actually have never seen anyone else with an Android phone. I know two people tho, one with a Droid, and one with cliq. Everyone should get an Android!!!

i have not seen that many android phones period ... i saw someone with a droid once at a restaurant and one of my exes and i guy in one of my classes last sem. had a G1 .. but i have never seen any erisi <---- plural of eris??? ;) ..

more moto droids than anything and a crap-load of iphones!!!

edit: after seeing my phone a lot of them want one but their parents won't let them.

......slaughters of the Spring of '10.
Ahh... the Spring of '10. Fond memories. ;-)

On topic, believe it or not I just saw one today at another bar. I do like my beer bars. :-) Probably wouldn't have noticed if not for this thread.

In November when VZW was pushing Android, there were 2 phones, Eris and Droid. ....... The sales guy was pushing the Droid due to 2.0 and he had one. So I asked about the keyboard and he said it was nice but he hardly ever used it.

My experience was similar. The sales guy (kid) actually said that the Moto Droid was for men, while the Eris was for ladies.

That is so sexist, my mom has the Moto Droid (doesn't understand ANYTHING about it :( ) and I have the Eris
And my dad has the iPhone, to say the least he was extremely jealous when I brought my phone home :D

well my friend has an eris, and so i got one because they said they liked it. then someone saw that I had one and they got one, and we all are not the happiest with the phones, but they also have no clue how to find apps and improve their phones. i just want less lag

There are many Eris's in the wild. In the about 3 seconds I took to read the first post I could think of 3 others. I'm sure if I cared enough I could get the list to atleast 10.

I have probably seen at least fifty if not more... I see one probably one or two times every time I'm out.

Did you strangle him right then and there?

Ha-ha! I only went into the store to see and feel the size/weight of the two phones for comparison. I then saved $100 by going home and ordering my Eris online. (This sales-kid put on quite a show: dropping his Blackberry on the ground and then standing on it to emphasize how much I needed to buy a protective case for my new phone. I saved my self another $30 by purchasing a cheap case on ebay.)

If anyone can tell me where these things herd at let me know. I want to bag some for the wife and kids. I'll take em down human like. :p

I am the only one I know with one and have not seen another.

I have a nephew and his wife who have the i-phone, Both my daughters and son-in-law have the eris as do I, I am considering the Ally however; after several months, I still have problems with the touch screen, reception, blue tooth, and the ear piece gets hot to my ear; I agree that the illusive eris is difficult to spot. 51% of the population can hide the device behind longer hair let alone those of us - of the other 49% (male) population who's hair is sadly no longer with us of leaving us it becomes easier to spot the device attached to our ear.

Its like an African Safari, you seen tons of wildebeest (iPhones), gazelle (Blackberry) but you never see the kangaroo (the Eris) ;)
