Root err: incorrect cid in s-off device

yonid

Lurker
Hey everybody!
My device is rooted & alpharev 1.8 s-off
and when try to flash the hboot PB99IMG_bravo_cm7.zip (after I renamed it to PB99IMG.zip) I'M getting the "cid incorrect update fail..." err message.
I thought my device is full rooted now and I should'nt get such errors,
can someone tell what's wrong?

thanks

Just cause you're rooted/S-OFF you haven't changed your phone CID as a gold card is needed for this. Chances are this is why it's failing

Just use the fastboot commands instead, unless you have a gold card of course

Thank you guys for the quick response,
If I want to use the command line option - my device should be in fastboot mode, right?
for some reason my pc could'nt detect the device (that's why I tried the zip option...)
sdk in my pc updated yesterday, is it possible I need to install the driver again and that's why it didn't recognize my device?
