I followed the unlock bootloader and successfully unlocked the bootloader on my phone. (BTW, thanks Scotty, nice write-up). I flashed "ph98img.boot" successfully, but on reboot, I see the HTC screen and then the phone goes dead.
I cannot get back into the phone via adb and am at a loss. I read another thread about flashing the kernal onto the phone but since I cannot get adb to work I am stuck.
I am a noob but was used to flashing roms on my old LG Optimus without a problem. Any thoughts on what I can do?
first and formost, the batter does have enuff charge it should boot the phone correct? if battery status is unsure, you can let it charge while powered off,or let it charge in recovery. or put the battery into an external charger.
i need a little more info on what you were trying to do. "PH98IMG.boot" is not something youd normallly flash,so i assume that you were tryint to flash a "boot.img" inside a PH98IMG after flashing a rom.
what rom were you trying to install?
how do you know the PH98IMG flash was successful?(did it say "update successful" or you just saw the status bars and assumed it was?)
in a nutshell, heres what you should do,without knowing more specifics:
1)double check md5 of rom and PH98MG downloads,if possible.
2)pull the battery for 10 seconds,replace
3) power on holding vol down. this should take you to hboot
4)select fastboot with vol rocker and power button
5)open a cmd window,
cd c:\mini-adb_vigor if you used my unlock guide
6)plug in phone. enter
fastboot devices
7)if you get a serial number youre good to go
8)launch recovery
fastboot boot recovery-ra-vigor-3.14-gnm.img
9)wipe data/cache/dalvik cache/system/boot
10)reflash rom with amon menu on phone
11)
adb reboot bootloader
12)
fastboot flash boot boot.img assuming you dint change the name after taking it out of the PH98IMG file
13)after its done,
fastboot reboot
