Help Error code 104

I purchased this phone last week. I've been getting error code 104 and the connection will completely drop. I've been receiving this error 45% of the time, if it isn't this code I'll get connection reset by peer. It seems I'm stuck with only 1x instead of 3g the majority of the time. Any tips or advice is appreciated..

My phone gets this message when I try to send out txts, and it only seems to happen in certain areas where I live, I admit this can get quite annoying at times as I have to resend my txt messages. Check the Network coverage in ur city or call VM see if its a tower issue
