error logging

I have a game that I am trying to play and it keeps crashing. It isn't a CPU intensive game so I couldn't understand why it is crashing. I contacted the developer and his English is horrible but he asked for an error log. But when it crashes i t doesn't force close so I can't send an error report. I told him I would send him a logcat and his resolve was "what is logcat?"
Is there an app that would allow me to run it in the background that captures all the processes of running apps so that I can pinpoint this error and inform the developer of the error. Remember, he doesn't know what a logcat is so it would have to be something besides logcat

lol it might be in the game's actual folder if u use root explorer to navigate to it you might some sort of log if not dont be ashamed to ask him where and what is it.
