error message after installing gapps

I am getting this error message after installing gapps on my aokp rom:

unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped.

It won't go away either. tried wiping the cache, reinstalling the gapps,and restarting the phone.

You do not mention which custom, AOKP ROM, you have installed. However, one thing that you should check is that you have the correct gapps package as there are sometimes multiple choices. You could also try wiping cache and dalvik in Recovery mode to see if that helps. Failing that, you can always post your query on the developers website after checking that this is not a known problem and that you have followed the installation instructions given.
