Error message "beeps"

My Fascinate has been misbehaving something fierce since the last update. In addition to freezing outright, it frequently drops its bluetooth connection or requires a battery pull (at highway speeds, of course). I see other messages about such problems.

However, my phone also goes randomly dark and unresponsive while producing a repeating pattern of 3 rapid short vibrations followed by a single vibration until the battery is pulled. The phone is unresponsive to anything except that touching the soft buttons below the screen causes them to light up and stay lit.

The fact that this error condition produces a pattern of pulses makes it seem as though it might be an error code of some sort. Does anyone know if it means anything?

there is something wrong, either with an app you have installed or with a setting. Really the only thing you can do if you cannot figure out which it is, is to do a factory reset and then see if the problem continues. If it does then you have a bad phonr and you need to swap it out.
