Error When Recompiling APK

Hi. I'm trying to edit my SystemUI.apk using APK Manager v4.9.

I've managed to decompile it with no errors in the log.txt. But after I make the small change (just to one XML file!), I get an error when trying to recompile. log.txt reads...

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

The bizarre thing is, even if I decompile and then recompile without changing anything, I still get the same error!

I have never done what you are trying to do, but i am a programmer (beginner) and only having very little experience with java, but your SystemUI.apk's are in the wrong directory im pretty sure. one this is for sure and that there is an attempt to find a file that is not in the path it should be

but it looks like the SystemUI.apk's should be up one directory and replace the "place-apk-here..." part
