Root ESN change?

Is there a way to change the ESN on the phone? I gave my om to my son and wanted to know if I can change the ESN to match mine on the spirit so I can receive texts and stuff on both phones?

Two devices cannot have the same ESN and there are severe legal and TOS issues with changing/cloning ESN's. Talk of this sort is not for this site, so this thread will have to be closed
