I need to get a couple of things for my desire to make my life a little easier and wondered if you kind people would point me in the right direction...

I need to get (as cheap as poss)

A spare charger.... for work..

And

A spare battery... for days out...

I'm not sure where to look and what to go for without electricuting myself or as tempting as it sounds burning my works building down.....

I don't know about spare batteries, but spare chargers are pretty easy to find. You just need a simple micro USB cable (similar to the one that came with your Desire). I keep mine plugged in to my computer at work and if I need more power, I just hook it up to there for a couple of hours. If you don't have one, just find a USB charger (most should work) and attach the microUSB cable (again, similar to your set up which came with the phone).

All should be available at any electronics store for cheap.

When you buy the charger make sure you get a 1A one and not a 500mA one. A 500mA one is equivalent to just connecting it to your PC and charging via USB, which is far slower.

I'm about to order this one: Black 3 Pin 1A 1000mA 5V USB 2.0 High Technology CE: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
