Thanks for this. The Best Buy I contacted had no idea when they would get the Esteem. Since LetsTalk raised the price to $349 there's no guarantee BB will be cheaper. Going to Metro PCS later today.
 
I just recived the lg esteem today from letstalk.com for 249, which I ordered this monday and my question is can I use the rabate cupon for it from metro to get my price even lower or it has to be purchased from metro pcs stores for 349 straight,to get that extra hundred reimbursed.

thanks for the coupon link,I just finish reading the restrictions and unfortunatly it is only valid for metro pcs stores and official dealers ,thats ok I guess I should be happy getting this phone at lower price anyway.I got me external battery from metro and I'm charging I will start rooting this phone tomorrow,anyone knows any good plastic case that will fit the external batterry on this phone,any help would be appreciated.

Whatever you do, DON'T EVER buy accesories from Metro, they will rip you off like no other. You can find the same products sooner or later on Amazon or Ebay at lower prices, and better quality.

The guy at Metro tried to sell me these cheap looking screen protectors for 5 bucks, only 2.

But a year ago I bought 3 of them for 60 cents from amazon for my old EVO 4G phone from Sprint, I had 2 left, they were good quality, and they fit perfectly on this new phone.

Same thing for cases and covers, go to amazon and read up reviews before buying anything, usually it's pretty easy to figure out the best brands, or most popular ones. There is also Youtube, where people do video reviews and show you the product before buying, just have some patient.

I Think they are a dealer. It seems that if they are selling a new phone then they have been authorized to sell as a dealer. Not sure though.

No problem my friends if it weren't for you guys and the forum I wouldn't know alot. And I'm happy I could help u guys out.350 and 12 weeks for a rebate is unacceptable in my opinion lol

Damn! Should have waited a few days to get the Esteem. Don't mind dealing with the rebate but I would have saved about $25 in sales tax. On the upside the woman in the MetroPCS store was hot and nice to look at while I waited.

Oh, btw, I love (in a non-sexual way - LOL) the Esteem. I get much better battery time, especially in standby, by turning 4G off when not needed.
Settings->Wireless & networks->Mobile networks->Data enabled
Uncheck Data enabled and the 4G icon at the top of the screen will disappear.

Realistically though if you use data or the camera a lot you'll want to consider the 3000 mAh battery. Half my rebate is going for one. This phone, as with most Androids, needs a more powerful battery. Selling these with a 1500 mAh battery is bs. Bigger battery means bigger case. Hold off on buying a case for a few days in case you have the need for the 3000 mAh battery.
 
Hey guys i check wirefly and the Phone is sold out. So if you didn't get it from then, then you have to go to metro and pay the 300 and change .
 
I just got my esteem today from wirefly and it is amazing over the optimus m... don't get me wrong the optimus m is a great phone but the esteem is far more superior. I love it.
