Root Esteem CWM Loop and Un-Root

A friend of mine gave me a LG Esteem that was Rooted, I went to do a Factory Data reset and ended up in a CWM-based Recovery v5.5.0.4. Nothing I have done has allowed me to get out of the Recovery mode. I am not sure if USB Debugging? Was enabled or what.

I have a Mini SD card in it that is blank and I have an Mini SD card adapter on my desktop. All I want to do is get this thing out of the recovery mode and return it to it's stock software and I have no clue what I am looking for or what I am doing. I was told that I could download a file here and save it to the SD card and run it and it would sort it out. If anyone can point me in the easiest direction and possibly give me a link to the download and what I have to do to use it I would be very thankful!

Once you get it back running never do a factory reset from the phone menu do the factory reset from the clockworkmod . now to get you up running do you need help or do you know what to do with the exit recovery

Okay I downloaded that file and chose the .zip file from the SD and now when I turn it on I get the LG Symbol then the animation but it goes to a black screen.

You need a ROM to flash on your SD card . you must have cleared the data and cache before just put a ROM of choice on your SD card
