Help Esteem HELP

So I'm on day 3 with my esteem and I just learned that its not reading media files like my pics and music from my sdcard. Is the only way around this, for a non rooted user to just transfer everything to the "fake sd card"? And also when I move an app to the sd card, as long as its in, is it saving to my actual sd card or the fake?
 
With the music and pics, I created a folder called MUSIC on my external SD, and it worked fine. I let the phone create the DCIM folder, then moved all my pics in there.

The 'fake' sd card is the Internal sd card, it holds the apps when moved to SD.

I just tried it but it didn't work. I unmounted and mounted sd too
 
Is it mounted? Cause I had a problem where my internal wouldn't show and I went in the settings and it wasn't mounted

I'm out of ideas. I would say backup the card, format it on PC, then try again. But that doesn't sound like your issue.
