ok so i pluged my esteem into the computer to charge on its charger and i smell something and couldnt find what it was, i thought it was just my mind but then it got stronger and stronger so i unpluged everything by me to find out that it was my phone. the port on the phone where u plug the charger into was overheating and burning the plastic. Now i try a different charger and it bearly works on the phone but when i do get it to work on the phone after 1min of charging i unpluged it to see if its overheating and i put my thumb over the charge port and it was heating up. its not the charger its something in the phone. maybe the battery or something... what could this be are there any temp solutions i only need this phone for about 10 more days because im getting the sg3

Probably a bad solder or connection somewhere and its arcing causing a lot of heat, only thing I can think of is to charge it in a freezer lol or take the battery out and charge it separately. Sounds like you're screwed my friend, try using the charger that heated it up slower, thats all you can do.

i think i know what u mean ive too noticed a weird smell coming from my charger. but dont worry its not going to melt.
