Help Ethernet Socket Issue

The Ethernet socket on my Flytouch 3 will not hold the cable connector securely. The socket appears to be missing the the little catch that would normally hold the cable in place. Is this is a common problem? I have to tape the cable into position to prevent it from falling out. Once taped, the connection does work.

Try turning the cable round...sometimes the catch gets worn, sometimes it gets broken! I used to spend many happy hours swapping out broken NIC's because the users didn't press the release catch hard enough when removing the cable. It is possible to replace the socket if the catch is broken....but it would just be easier to do as you have done and tape/hotglue it in. (but dont use cyano, you might want to remove it sometime!))

I discovered thata toothpick jammed into the connector between the clip and main section works great.
