So, I've got a question to ask. This post isn't about my S3 (luckily).
My friend had an S3 and it was water damaged. He sent it back to Samsung to claim for warranty, but they returned it saying they don't cover damages caused by water. Now, when he got his (unfixed) S3 back, he noticed the bezel was chipped. Although the phone's still dead, he contacted Samsung's customer service and complained. His "reasoning" was that although the phone didn't work, it still had a "resale" value. Samsung agreed to investigate the matter and hence he sent the phone back to them.
To my surprise, they returned the phone completely fixed (new bezel) and fully functioning. The paper that came with it stated that they do not fix water damages. So how come they fixed it?
My concern now is whether his warranty is void or not? Any ideas?
At least he got his phone working
