I just upgraded from the Lg Esteem to the Lg Motion today.. call *228 today to activate the Lg Motion everything works but when I use my data it said EV..so I look at the setting and on the Moblie network type..it said evdo-rev.A:8

What is that? my Lg Esteem had 4g before I switch phones

I'm on the new 55 4GLTE Unlimited data plan

its been discussed numerous number of times. use search button. Just call metro and tell them that, they are going to be able to fix it for you.

Try running a speedtest to see how fast your download speeds are. Not a solution I know, but a good way to see what the speed is like.
 
Most of Metro's people are extremely stupid, just tell them you need the SIM card activated. You have to be very forceful about what you want because they are the most utterly moronic people I've ever talked to.

They are not moronic but some representatives are much wiser than other. I had some issues back in days and I had to call them 3 time in order to get someone some one on the line who had the solution for me.

I think mods need to sticky one of those threads because this is a third thread already.
 
like i said dude take your ucc card out of the phone write down the numbers get on chat with them tell them u need to activate the ucc card give him the numbers on the card that you wrote down after he puts it in the system turn your phone on. cust reps are dumb as rocks you have to tell them what u want insist that he put the numbers in the system. u should get 4g if and only if he does this theres no in between if your in a 4g area.

I went down today to the Metro PCS Corp. store they couldn't get it working.. she did a hard reset and everything...telling me to come back Monday, if 4g doesn't come on, that it takes a couple days..and if it doesn't come back Monday, and she see about trading it for another phone knowing it's new and I just activated it today..

so I read what you wrote just few mins ago, and got online with the Chat and gave them the ucc card number like you said and it work!

no prob man metro service aint bad but the cust service is another story they are dumb as rocks wait rocks serve a porpose
 
They are worse than rocks , Rocks atleast don't bother you :) Forget MPCS , Come on Rocks Give me your cellular service!
 
GTK313, his problem wasn't due to setting, it was that his uicc wasn't activated/associated with his account. He got it resolved with MPCS Customer support.
