Im a bit confused as to weather or not they are the same i hear different things one that evdo is not 3g aand you cant recieve calls or texts on is but my phone always says evdo never ant 3g icon. Do we not get 3g or can someone give a brief description to sort it all out for ne

No not on stock. You could flash 2fast xfussion Rom. It's stock basically it has a 3g symbol.

I get 4g in some areas not always i usualy leave it turned off but i want a 3g symbol rather than evdo but its not really important
