Even Google Makes Mistakes

The OTA 4.3 update and the factory image Google released for the Nexus 4 is based off JWR66V. There is a newer version, JSS15J, that contains several GPU commits and an updated kernel for the Nexus 4, but wasn't released because a Google employee mistakenly thought JSS15J only contained fixes for the new Nexus 7. The infamous delayed wifi notifications are still present on the JWR66V build, but not JSS15J. Simply put, Google messed up and it doesn't appear we're ever going to get JSS15J. Looks like we'll have to wait until 4.3.1 to get all those nice fixes we've been asking for since the Nexus 4 launched.

Or... switch to an AOSP ROM :D

True, but this isn't the All Things Root section :D

I'm waiting for Paranoid Android to drop a 4.3 build, but from their early screenshots it looks like they're building from JWR66V, which is unfortunate. Cyanogenmod seems to be making headway with JSS15J though.

EDIT:: For anyone wanting a stock AOSP JSS15J build, you can find one here:

I don't really know, but I thought they said they pulled 43r21, or something, which is the JSS15J. Guess we'll find out in a few days...

Impatiently waiting for PA as well :)
