When Google started pushing out the Android M developer preview builds, some found hints of the code within the Nexus 4 repository. This stirred up some rumors that Google was going to eventually release a build for it but it never happens.
Now, the same thing is happening again with Android N and the Nexus 5. While anything is possible, it's highly unlikely that the Nexus 5 will ever receive an official build of the Android N developer preview
