Help Ever since I rooted my Galaxy Nexus has been slow, battery drains faster and takes longer to charge.

Hello,
I noticed my Galaxy Nexus is a lot slower ever since I rooted. The battery also drains a lot faster and takes forever to charge. When I'm charging and using it as a hotspot it decharges, something that never happened before rooting. I could use hotspot and it would still charge.

I'm thinking about unrooting, but I also think some rooting options might help, like custom roms?

Has anyone come across similar issues?

How long have you had your Gnex? It's possible the battery is hitting its end of life.
Have you installed a custom recovery, and if so, I'd recommend performing a backup and then a factory reset.
Also, which version of the Nexus do you have?

Did you just root or did you also flash a custom Rom?

Just rooted.

I own three different batteries, I doubt it's the battery life. Hm I don't think I installed a custom recovery, how can I do that. I own a Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
