Yes! Dastin has evervolv working on the S2!!! Just downloaded and about to flash!!! Can't wait until nightlies begin!!!

If you don't know what evervolv is, its a pure aosp from many different contributors previously for HTC devices but now for the first time on the Samsung Galaxy S2!!

The link is under his xda wild for the night thread on one of the last pages. Find it in the in the one stop shop:) sorry At work Lol

That's it!! The only thing really not working right now is auto rotation. Now I have two favorites. Wild for the night and evervolv. Can't wait for the nightlies. If you love aosp, good things are happening for the S2:)

I am not a big fan of nightly as a daily driver, and prefer stable. Once they have auto rotation working, I may try it.

Auto rotate does work.
Just got to flash the Feb. 15 build of CM10.1, Calibrate the sensor within the ROM, then flash this ROM.

Yeah that is what I call a workaround. I am not going to flash a ROM just to Calibrate a sensor then flash another ROM. My feeling is that the OS should be transparent, seamless, and draw your attention to what you are using the device for, not the OS on it.

Yeah it seems that the perfectly stable ROMs are the stock ROMs for the S2. For aosp, even stable versions constantly are fixed and upgraded. I find aosp really interesting because it's like a project that I can be a part of. Sometimes though I get frustrated and need stability, so I flash back to a stock ROM and then when I get tired of that I go back to aosp. I really really feel more comfortable with aosp than stock for some reason.

what kernels and modems need to be flashed in order to have this rom working properly?

Any ICS / GB modem
If you're flashed to an AOSP-Based ROM (ie: CyanogenMOD / AOKP), Then you can flash to this ROM with the recovery that is baked into said ROM. No kernel flashing required if you're coming from an AOSP-Based ROM.
