I have a gt540 optimus on Vodafone with a 2gb card
My phone has been working normally for the last few months but then the other day my phone memory was getting low so I went to Manage Applications in Settings and removed some apps i didn't need, but i think i might have also messed with something that was part of the system- i cant remember what it was called but it had a system icon and it didn't say uninstall, instead it said "clear data" and i done it thinking it might have been some unimportant data like a cache in a browser and then like a few hours later this error began to come up repeatedly:
The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Since then most other apps that I open receive the same error when in the background I can see it working fine, e.g. Angry Birds Rio.
I can't get into the settings but i can get into some parts of it through the shortcuts through the home screen if i make one.
I have read that you can do a factory reset but I was hoping for another solution as that would be a very fraustrating solution - only a last resort.
