Everyone phone i see now looks really small

after having the X for a couple weeks. every phone that i see now looks so small and i think "how do they get stuff done on this tiny screen".

the thing is...now that u have experience BIG...it will difficult to go back.
probably possible just...not enjoyable.
I hate working on smaller phones now.
 
i was thinking the same thing about going back to a smaller screen. hopefully they keep making some with a 4.3 inch screen.
 
Once you go big, you don't go back.

But seriously, the Droid X gave me my first Android experience. I'm afraid I probably won't be able to go back to a smaller phone.

I can't wait for HTC or some manufacturer to shove 1280x720 pixels into a ~4.5-5.0" gingerbread phone. Now that would shut those "retina display" fanboys up!
 
I have a somewhat non-tech savvy friend with a G1 and had to help him out with something on it the other day. That screen looked teeny tiny, it was awful. I can't convince him to root it either so he's still running 1.6, so that didn't help either.
 
I think the same thing when I see coworkers looking at their tiny phones! A guy was standing by the window with his iWon't (trying to get a signal from ATT) and as I walked by I said to myself "awwwww, how cute. A little tykes toy phone".
 
my g/f just got the samsung reality (her first touch device) and her entire phone when placed on top of mine doesn't even cover my Dx screen...
 
I'm still stuck with my LG Ally at the moment. I don't even have my X yet and I'm already in pain. >.<

Awww. Lol did you know how I got my Droid X?
I randomly walked into a Best Buy and asked if they had any, and they said yes they do, they just got 3 Droid X's in today. I was so siked but the process of switching from a regular account to a smart phone account was devious ><

I hope you get your Droid X soon! Did you order yours online?

I was just thinking the same thing. I gripped my boss's first gen iphone and thought it felt like a knockoff. I've also held my ipod touch and felt it to be cheap. this is by far the best phone I've ever had.
 
That's the worst part of it all, JQ. :( I haven't even been able to order my X yet, let alone get a nice little confirmation that it's currently on its way to my location.

My dad and I have had a Verizon Wireless account for over five years now. My dad got remarried a couple years ago and we moved over to my step-mom's account because she gets Alegant Health benefits/discounts. My dad's going through a divorce right now, so my soon-to-be-ex-step-mom took us off her account, (was going to happen one way or another in the long run). We registered a new account with Verizon and that's when I was rushed into getting my LG Ally.

Since the account that we're on is technically, "new," and hasn't been active for over six months, we cannot bill to our account. As a result, we have to pay for the order up front. My dad gets about $2200 in checks on Wednesday the 11th, (next week) so that's when I will be placing my order.

I'm already gathering app lists on appbrain and figuring out how I want to customize my phone, and I haven't even ordered it yet. >.< I'm starting to get annoyed with this laggy little screen.
 
Yah I'm in the same boat, after using the X, using my G1 doesn't feel the same. I definitely found the perfect phone size for me, don't think I will buy any phone with a screen size smaller than the X.
 
My X is my personal phone, HTC Hero is work phone. Guess which one I use to remote into my network....
 
I went from LG Chocolate -> LG Dare -> Droid -> Droid X.

The Dare is now my brothers phone... When I see it and hold it it feels like a toy phone..

agreed, I started with an Eris (moving from a small slider phone from Virgin) then quickly moved over to the X. I picked up the Eris after a week of using the X and I was like man, this thing is tiny!
 
Even the Droid screen looks wimpy now. I will never be able to go back to a little screen again.
 
I went from the LG Dare to the Samsung Omnia, to the X.

I picked up and turned on my Omnia the other day and marveled at how I even did anything with that tiny screen.
